Latest travel updates on Coronavirus (COVID19) here

The lions and tigers may epitomize a safari, but it’s the luxurious accommodations and glamping that’ll make or break it.

Today we put together a visual guide of the sensational stays we’ll enjoy on our Kenya: Safaris and Savannahs tour.

Nairobi/Limuru

Jambo! To rest your travel-weary feet, we’ve booked a boutique hotel on the outskirts of Nairobi. The property is only an hour’s drive from Nairobi Airport, making it a convenient kick-off location to meet your fellow travellers and local guides before driving into the savannah for the remainder of your safari.

Amboseli National Park

Start each day sipping your morning brew on a private verandah as the sun creeps out from behind Mount Kilimanjaro. These exquisite luxury tents will immerse you in your African surrounds, so much so you may awake to the trumpeting of nearby elephants. All tents are enclosed to keep out critters, have ensuite bathrooms and feature private terraces with day beds. Watch the camp’s promotional video below for a clearer picture of what sets this encampment apart.

Nakuru National Park

The region’s highlight is Lake Nakuru, a shallow wetland that attracts’s Africa’s largest population of flamingo. Our third savannah slumber will be a stone’s throw from this oasis and sits right on a clifftop, providing excellent views of the region. The hotel is smartly styled with a modern twist. Our group will no doubt flock to the exceptional on-site restaurant/bar for a daily nightcap.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Last but far from least is a luxury safari camp on the banks of the famous Mara River. The astounding accommodations feature comfortable bedding, fresh linens, and welcomed touches like steaming showers after a day spent out on the plains. We’ll also enjoy unforgettable dinners here, tasting local offerings perfectly prepared by the acclaimed kitchen team.
